Intro

Bring a touch of warmth to your kitchen with a small hammered copper cup, lettered in Hebrew with Al Netilat Yedayim. Used for washing hands before eating bread, the two-handled cup catches the light with its textured surface. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has been part of Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Formed from copper with a hammered finish, the cup measures about 3.5 by 4 inches and weighs roughly 0.4 pounds. Gold toned Hebrew lettering sits on the front, framed by the textured surface. Two side handles give a steady grip, and the compact size fits easily beside a sink.

Gift Ideas

The cup makes a fitting housewarming gift for a new Jewish home. It suits a wedding or engagement, where a first set of ritual items is always welcome. It also works for a bar or bat mitzvah or an anniversary, and its warm metal tone makes it a lasting keepsake.

Care Instructions

Hand wash the cup with mild soap and warm water, then dry it right away with a soft cloth. Keep it out of the dishwasher and away from abrasive cleaners. Copper darkens gently over time, and a soft copper polish restores the glow if you prefer it bright.
