Intro

Set the Seder table with a cover crafted from appliqued and embroidered fabric panels, gathered in patchwork tones of gold, olive, and rose. Pomegranate branches trail across several panels, a motif long tied to blessing and abundance, alongside leaf and berry patterns and the word אפיקומן embroidered in gold at the center. The larger piece of the middle matzah is set aside in this cover to be found and eaten at the meal's close. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Made by hand from appliqued and embroidered fabric, the cover pieces together patchwork panels in a range of muted, warm tones. It measures 12 by 9 inches, sized to hold a folded matzah through the Seder. The layered technique gives each panel its own texture and pattern, with the central embroidered word set against a lighter ground.
