Intro

The cover rests over the plata, holding in the food kept warm on it. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has been part of Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Pieced from crinkled bronze fabric and smooth cream fabric, the plata cover measures 31.5 by 26 inches. Sized to drape over a plata, it weighs about 0.8 pounds. The Lecha Dodi lines are embroidered in silver thread across the central panel, with a metallic scroll pattern on the cream panels around it.
