Intro

Mark your doorway with a mezuzah case etched in a rich pomegranate design, its cutwork revealing layers of color beneath. The pomegranates, rendered in vivid reds, blues, and golds, carry the traditional meaning of blessing and abundance. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades, the case holds the scroll that carries the Shema at the entrance to the home.

Build and Use

Cut and etched from metal, the case reveals an openwork pomegranate design layered over a colorful painted background. It measures 1 x 6 inches and is built to hold a 4.7 inch scroll, which is not included and should be sourced separately. The open crown finials at each end allow it to be mounted along the doorpost.

Gift Ideas

The pomegranate mezuzah case suits a housewarming for a new home, a wedding, or a bar or bat mitzvah gift with lasting meaning. It works well for an engagement gift too, marking the start of a new household. The vivid colors and detailed etching make it a piece that stands out among Judaica gifts.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case with a soft, dry cloth to keep the metal and painted finish clean. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excess moisture, which can dull the etched detail over time.
