Intro

Welcome guests into your home with an embroidered wall hanging that spells out Bruchim Habaim, Welcome, in bold Hebrew letters. Colorful patchwork panels of fish and pomegranates frame the text, the pomegranate a familiar sign of blessing and abundance. Beaded tassels hang from the lower points, adding a playful finish to the piece. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose textile work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Meant for a foyer, hallway or living room wall, the piece announces itself the moment guests step inside. Embroidered fabric patchwork in gold, red and cream tones is joined to a canvas backing and finished along the top with a wooden dowel for easy hanging. The hanging measures 15 by 13 inches, with three beaded tassels dropping from its lower edge. Its light weight keeps mounting simple with just a small hook or nail.

Gift Ideas

A welcoming piece like this suits a housewarming easily, marking the start of a new home. It also makes a thoughtful wedding or engagement gift for a couple setting up together, or a warm addition to a bar or bat mitzvah gift. Its bright colors and message make it a fitting choice whenever someone is opening their door to others.

Care Instructions

Dust the embroidered fabric gently with a soft, dry cloth or a low vacuum attachment. Keep the piece out of direct sunlight to preserve its colors, and avoid water or spot cleaning.
