Intro
Give a tefillin bag that carries the Jerusalem skyline with it every day. Made of silk, the bag is embroidered with a sweeping view of the city, its domes and stone facades worked in gold, burgundy and blue against a deep blue ground, with the word תפילין embroidered above in silver thread. The Jerusalem motif speaks to heritage and connection, a fitting image for an object used daily. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes and ritual life for over two decades.
Build and Use
Made of silk and embroidered with the Jerusalem skyline, the bag measures 10 by 8 inches. A flap closes over the top to keep the tefillin secure inside. The scale suits daily use and travel alike, slipping easily into a tallit bag or overnight case.
Gift Ideas
An embroidered tefillin bag makes a meaningful bar mitzvah gift, marking the start of daily tefillin use with an image of Jerusalem. It also suits a gift for a wedding, a graduation from yeshiva, or simply for someone building out their Jewish home. The Jerusalem design gives it lasting appeal well beyond the occasion it was given for.
Care Instructions
Keep the silk bag away from moisture and direct sunlight to preserve its color. Spot clean gently if needed, and avoid machine washing or harsh detergents.
