Intro
Set the tone for your Seder with a pillow cover embroidered in rows of pomegranates framing the Ha Lachma Anya text, traditionally recited at the start of the Seder. The pomegranate, a symbol of blessing and abundance, borders the panel in deep reds, greens, and gold thread on white cotton. This cover is traditionally used to prop up the leaning pillow at the Seder table. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades.
Build and Use
Made of cotton and finished with dense embroidery, the pillow cover measures 27.5" x 19" and slips over a standard pillow insert. The embroidered text and pomegranate borders run the full length of the panel, giving it a finished look on all sides. It is used each year at the Passover Seder, where guests recline against it during the meal.
Gift Ideas
This pillow cover makes a thoughtful Passover gift for family or friends setting their own Seder table for the first time. It also suits a wedding, engagement, or housewarming gift for anyone building a Jewish home. Its embroidered detail makes it a welcome addition to a holiday gift basket as well.
Care Instructions
Spot clean the cover with a damp cloth to preserve the embroidery. Avoid machine washing or wringing, and keep it away from direct sunlight to protect the colored threads.
