Intro

Two concentric embroidered borders, an outer frame and an inner one, trace vines, pomegranates, flowers and small birds around the open Hebrew script at the center. Rendered in blue silk embroidery, the pomegranates carry their familiar meaning of blessing and abundance. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Made from a durable cotton and polyester blend, the cover is finished with silk embroidery worked into two concentric borders. It measures 19.5 by 15.5 inches, sized to rest over a standard challah loaf or board. The layered double frame gives the piece its depth, with the open center left plain around the embroidered Hebrew words.
