Intro

Bring the two Shabbat lights into your home with this pair of cylinder candlesticks, each wrapped in a brass cutout sleeve of pomegranates and scrolling vines running the full height of the body. The pomegranate, worked in dense openwork over the aluminum, carries its familiar meaning of blessing and abundance. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Formed from anodized aluminum, the pair stands 4 inches tall and 1 inch across, with a brass cutout sleeve covering the full body rather than a narrow band. The socket is narrow and holds standard taper candles only, not tea lights. Sold and priced as a pair, the candlesticks are ready for the two Shabbat lights each week.

Gift Ideas

This pair suits a wedding, engagement, or housewarming gift, and works just as well for a bar or bat mitzvah or an anniversary. It fits a gift for someone setting up a Jewish home for the first time. The brass and aluminum finish gives it a warm, lasting look beyond those occasions too.

Care Instructions

Wipe the candlesticks with a soft, dry cloth to keep the brass cutout clean. Avoid abrasive cleaners or soaking, and clear away cooled wax gently to protect the finish.
