Intro

Set your Shabbat table with a trivet that carries its own greeting, the words Shabbat Shalom cut straight through the metal in bold letters. Scrolling vine patterns wind around the text, framing it in blue against whatever surface it rests on. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Placed on the table for Shabbat and Yom Tov meals, the trivet protects surfaces from hot pots and dishes. Cut from metal and finished in blue, the piece measures 8 inches square and about 0.5 inches thick. The open latticework keeps it lightweight while still sturdy enough for everyday use.

Gift Ideas

Sized for the table and bearing a Shabbat greeting, the trivet makes a natural housewarming or wedding gift. It suits a bar or bat mitzvah or an anniversary just as well, or a gift for a couple setting up a Jewish home. Its blue finish and clear message make it a welcome addition to nearly any kitchen.

Care Instructions

Wipe the trivet clean with a soft, dry cloth after use. Avoid abrasive cleaners or soaking it in water, so the blue finish and cutout detail stay sharp over time.
