Intro

Mark your doorway with a mezuzah case cut in a flowing pomegranate and vine pattern set against a purple base. The metal overlay opens in scrolling filigree, the pomegranates woven through as a symbol of blessing and abundance. A mezuzah holds the scroll inscribed with the Shema, affixed to the doorposts of a Jewish home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from metal in an openwork pattern, the case reveals the purple base beneath its lattice of pomegranates and leaves. It measures 6 inches long, 1 inch wide, and 0.5 inches deep, sized to fit a 4.7 inch scroll, which is sold separately. The case opens along the back to allow the scroll to be inserted and closed securely once in place.

Gift Ideas

The pomegranate design suits a housewarming gift for anyone setting up a new home. It also fits well as a wedding, engagement, or bar or bat mitzvah gift, marking a meaningful milestone. Its purple tone and detailed cutwork give it a distinctive look for a gift that stands out among Judaica.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case with a soft, dry cloth to keep the metal cutwork clean. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excess moisture, which can dull the finish over time.
