Intro

Bring color and blessing to a wall with this laser cut metal hamsa, painted with perched birds, fluttering butterflies, and flowers winding around the Hebrew word Shalom. The hamsa is a traditional symbol of protection and good fortune, hung in homes and given as gifts. Each element is hand painted in bright enamel lacquer, giving the piece depth and shine. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has filled Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from metal and hand painted in vivid enamel lacquer, the hamsa measures 9 inches by 7 inches. The open, laser cut design lets light pass through the birds, butterflies and floral vines that surround the lettering. A hanging loop at the top keeps it ready to display on any wall.

Gift Ideas

Bright and symbolic, this hamsa suits a housewarming or a new home, and works equally well for a wedding or engagement gift. It also fits a bar or bat mitzvah or an anniversary, especially for someone drawn to color and Jewish symbolism. Its cheerful palette makes it a welcome gift for nearly any occasion.

Care Instructions

Dust the hamsa with a soft, dry cloth to keep the enamel lacquer bright. Avoid water and abrasive cleaners, and keep it away from direct, prolonged sunlight to preserve the color.
