Intro
Set your Shabbat table with a Kiddush cup that pairs a tapered silver cup with a matching plate beneath it. The words of the blessing, borei pri hagafen, are cut directly into the metal, with additional text circling the plate in a layered ring pattern. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish tables for over two decades.
Build and Use
Used for Kiddush on Shabbat and holidays, the cup is formed from anodized aluminum and finished in a soft silver tone, with the plate cut and finished to match. The cup measures 4.5 by 2.5 inches and holds approximately 202 ml, while the plate spans 6 inches across. Each cup comes with its matching plate, sized to sit beneath it as a set.
Gift Ideas
The matching cup and plate make a fitting wedding, engagement, or housewarming gift, especially for a couple setting up their first Shabbat table. It also suits a bar or bat mitzvah or an anniversary, marking the occasion with a piece meant for regular use. The clean silver finish keeps it a welcome gift beyond those moments too.
Care Instructions
Wipe the cup and plate clean with a soft, dry cloth rather than soaking them. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can dull the anodized finish over time.
