Intro

Bring a striking piece to your Shabbat table with this blue kiddush cup, its surface catching light against the engraved Hebrew text of the blessing over wine. The cup comes with a matching plate, its rings of engraved text echoing the cup above. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from anodized aluminum, the cup and plate are finished in a deep, even blue and hand painted by skilled artisans. The cup stands 4.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide and holds about 202 ml, roughly 7 ounces, while the plate spans 6 inches across and cradles the cup at its center. Both pieces carry engraved Hebrew text, the cup with the blessing over wine and the plate with a decorative border.

Gift Ideas

A set like this suits a wedding, an engagement, or a bar or bat mitzvah, and it works just as well for a housewarming or an anniversary. It also makes a strong choice for anyone furnishing a Jewish home for the first time. The bold color and paired plate give it presence as a gift on its own.

Care Instructions

Wipe the cup and plate clean with a soft, dry cloth rather than soaking them. Keep both pieces away from abrasive cleaners and harsh scrubbing so the blue finish and engraved text stay sharp.
