Intro

Bring the Tree of Life to your Hanukkah table with a menorah cast in the shape of branching roots and limbs, its copper leaves and small perched birds set against a weathered aluminum finish. The Tree of Life motif speaks to growth and renewal, themes that carry naturally into the holiday of lights. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cast from aluminum and finished with copper leaf accents, the menorah holds eight branches plus a raised shamash, each fitted to take a 5/16 inch standard Hanukkah candle. The piece measures 12 by 11 inches and stands on a root-like base that gives it a firm footing. Melted wax lifts away easily by pouring hot water over the branches.

Gift Ideas

The menorah suits a housewarming, especially for someone furnishing their first Jewish home before Hanukkah. It also makes a thoughtful wedding, engagement, or bar or bat mitzvah gift, and works well as an anniversary present for a couple who already keeps the holiday. Its sculptural form gives it a place on a shelf year round, which adds to its appeal as a gift.

Care Instructions

Wipe the menorah clean with a soft, dry cloth between uses. Pour hot water over the branches to loosen melted wax, and avoid abrasive cleaners that could dull the copper leaf finish.
