Squares of patterned and solid fabric frame the text in a modern collage layout. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Made from a cotton and polyester blend, the cover is embroidered in silk thread rather than by hand, giving the lettering a crisp, consistent finish. It measures 19.5 by 15.5 inches, sized to rest over a standard challah loaf or two. The cover pairs with a matching Plata cover for a coordinated look across the table.

Gift Ideas

The blue patchwork design suits a housewarming, wedding, or engagement gift, especially for someone furnishing a Jewish home. It also fits well as a bar or bat mitzvah or anniversary gift, given alongside or ahead of the matching Plata cover. Its coordinated palette makes it easy to give without matching to an existing set.

Care Instructions

Hand wash the cover in cold water and lay it flat to dry, keeping it away from direct heat. Iron on a low setting if needed, avoiding direct contact with the embroidered panel.
