Scrolling vine patterns fill the cream sections while the center panel carries the words Shabbat and Yom Tov, embroidered in silk thread. The neutral palette brings a quiet elegance to the table, designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel.

Build and Use

Made from a cotton and polyester blend, the cover is pieced into a collage of solid and patterned panels and embroidered in silk thread, not by hand. It measures 19.5 by 15.5 inches, sized to drape over a standard braided challah. The blend keeps the cover light while holding its shape over repeated use.

Gift Ideas

The soft, neutral palette makes this challah cover a fitting gift for a wedding, housewarming, or engagement. It suits a bar or bat mitzvah as well, or anyone furnishing a Jewish home for the first time. Its understated design also makes it a welcome anniversary gift.

Care Instructions

Hand wash the cover in cold water or dry clean to protect the silk embroidery. Lay it flat to dry and avoid wringing or twisting the fabric.
