The words Shabbat V'Yom Tov are embroidered across the top, and the challah stays covered beneath it on the table through kiddush. Jerusalem imagery carries a sense of heritage and connection, rendered here in raw silk. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has been part of Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Made from raw silk, the cover is appliqued with cut fabric shapes forming the Jerusalem panorama, with stems, outlines and lettering finished in embroidery. It measures 19.5 by 15.5 inches, sized to drape over a standard challah on the Shabbat table. The layered applique gives the skyline its depth and texture against the silk ground.

Gift Ideas

The Jerusalem panorama makes a fitting gift for a wedding, housewarming, or engagement, especially for someone furnishing a Jewish home. Its detailed scene and lettering give it lasting appeal well beyond any single event.

Care Instructions

Dry clean the cover to preserve the raw silk and the appliqued layers.
